Inter-Confessional Approaches in the Christian Intellectual Tradition

Commissioning editor: Linda McGrath

Series editors: Andreas J. Beck (editor-in- chief), Ulrike Treusch, Jarrik Van Der Biest, and Lisanne Winslow

This new series addresses inter-confessional research on the cultural, intellectual, and theological history of Christianity, ranging from the early church to the modern era. Volumes in this series will synergize three complementary perspectives: first, a contextual perspective emphasizing the interpretation of sources within their historical and intellectual settings, second, a conceptual framework analyzing the development and transformation of ideas across time, and third, an innovative inter-confessional approach exploring continuities and exchanges that transcend and inter-relate confessional boundaries. The series will accept monographs and edited volumes in English, German, and French language.

The series opens new vistas on Christian thought combining rigorous contextual analysis with conceptual precision and inter-confessional sensitivity. The editorial and advisory boards bring together leading scholars in the field with expertise across all areas of the history of Christianity.
