Central European Medieval Texts
Commissioning editor: Linda Kunos
The CEMT series was born out of the renewed interest in Central (or East Central) Europe on the one hand and the difficulty to access the medieval narratives of the region, especially for those less fluent in Latin than older generations were, on the other. So far, we have been able to present texts from Bohemia, Croatia (Dalmatia), Hungary and Poland, and we hope to continue on this road. We print the best available critical edition of the original version, usually without full philological apparatus, but with extensive annotations to the translation for readers less familiar with the history and geography of the region.
